Brussels, Friday 16 October 2020
Celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, EPEE, the European Partnership for Energy and the Environment, published a video with a compilation of messages from its members.
EPEE’s members, representing the heating and cooling industry, contribute with their technologies to ensuring that European citizens have healthy, productive and comfortable living and working environments, fresh and safe food and best in class healthcare.
EPEE Director General Andrea Voigt said: “It’s been 20 years already, time flies! 20 years during which our association has become one of the leading voices of our industry sector, with currently more than 50 members from across the globe. Today, more than ever, we are focussed on making our world a better place with sustainable technologies for the health of people and the planet.”
EPEE members take their responsibility very seriously and are continuously innovating to provide long-term solutions to maximise the benefits of cooling for society in a safe, affordable, and environmentally sustainable manner. EPEE is committed to pursuing its work, its dialogue with EU policymakers, collaboration with partners around the world, and looks forward to continuing its path to help the EU achieve its climate and energy goals.
Andrea Voigt concluded: “We look forward to the next 20 years!”

ABOUT EPEE:
The European Partnership for Energy and the Environment (EPEE) represents the refrigeration, air-conditioning and heat pump industry in Europe. Founded in the year 2000, EPEE’s membership is composed of over 50 member companies, national and international associations from three continents (Europe, North America, Asia).
EPEE member companies realize a turnover of over 30 billion Euros, employ more than 200,000 people in Europe and also create indirect employment through a vast network of small and medium-sized enterprises such as contractors who install, service and maintain equipment.
EPEE member companies have manufacturing sites and research and development facilities across the EU, which innovate for the global market.
As an expert association, EPEE is supporting safe, environmentally and economically viable technologies with the objective of promoting a better understanding of the sector in the EU and contributing to the development of effective European policies.
As part of the activities EPEE and its members are undertaking to raise awareness on sustainable cooling, EPEE has launched a broader #CountOnCooling campaign. The EPEE White Paper “Count on Cooling: A five-step approach to deliver sustainable cooling” examines the crucial role of cooling in the 21st century.
