Large scale deployment of low GWP refrigerant at bakery chain
Shortly after the entry into force of the EU F-Gas Regulation, the German Bakery Feihl decided, in 2016, to build a new facility in Neumarkt to expand their production site. Using a refrigeration system operating with a low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant was a priority for the Bakery, given that the HFC phase-down particularly impacts refrigerants with a high GWP. Feihl Bakery tasked the company IceCool to develop and install an eco-efficient refrigeration system. After the presentation of several alternatives, Feihl decided to use a Solstice® L40X (R-455A) system.
