Service-based business models for heating and cooling as a way to save energy and contribute to a circular economy
EPEE sent a letter to the Executive Vice-President Timmermans and Commissioner Simson, addressing how the European Green Deal is a major opportunity to promote the implementation of a sustainable cooling approach, and therefore help enabling carbon neutrality and the EU to achieve its climate and energy goals.
In September, on the occasion of United Nations’s Climate Action Summit 2019 in New York, EPEE, published a pledge, outlining the industry’s commitments to be an active and supportive industry player to provide and promote sustainable cooling solutions on the way to a carbon neutral Europe.
The guidelines developed in this document are intended to clarify five key aspects of the EPBD, providing details on the measures to be implemented as well as recommendations on good practices to be used in order to harmonise the interpretation of this piece of legislation in EU Member States.
